Luby’s Culinary Services is pleased to announce a multi-year agreement with Lone Star College System. Luby’s Culinary Services will manage the foodservice operations for the system’s newest location, LSC-University Park, serving over 3,500 students and faculty.

Luby’s, etc., the brand’s retail dining food court, opens today to the college and the public. The recently renovated, 4,500 square foot dining facility boasts a contemporary atmosphere and comforting environment that speaks to the student population. Luby’s Culinary Services will also provide catering for the 14,000 square foot Conference Center, containing 19 conference rooms and exhibition space. The Conference Center is capable of hosting everything from major business conferences to large events, such as weddings.

“Lone Star College System has revolutionized the community college experience and we are honored to be an integral component in their mission to provide a full and rewarding educational setting for their students, faculty and the community,” said Chris Pappas, President and CEO of Luby’s. “We are confident that the students will find Luby’s, etc. to be a substantial benefit to their campus experience.”

“LSC-University Park is a unique, comprehensive higher education campus,” said LSCS Chancellor Dr. Richard Carpenter. “In addition to LSCS students and a dynamic conference center, LSC-University Park will be home to a university center. Residents will be able to take upper-level and graduate courses from some of the state’s premier universities.
